In her photographs, Elisabeth Bernstein selects and isolates specific forms found in nature with the aim of creating a visual language that describes an alternative conception of reality. By reframing features of existing landscapes, Bernstein conjures traces of the past and indications of the future, presenting an uncanny dimension of real yet unexpected landscapes.
