LÉVY GORVY ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF VICTORIA GELFAND-MAGALHAES AS PRESIDENT, EUROPE

Dominique Lévy and Brett Gorvy are delighted to welcome Victoria Gelfand-Magalhaes to the Lévy Gorvy team, in the role of President, Europe.

Gelfand-Magalhaes will collaborate closely with senior directors and founders in London, New York, Hong Kong, and Zürich, playing a critical role in curating exhibitions and broadening the gallery’s representation of artists and estates. Building upon Lévy Gorvy’s long-standing history in art advisory services, she will also foster meaningful relationships with collectors and institutions. She comes to Lévy Gorvy with a wealth of experience and expertise developed during her fifteen years as director at Gagosian. Working in London and New York, she honed a comprehensive understanding of the international art market, and broadened the gallery’s global network to new markets in Russia, Mexico, and Brazil. Having received her degree in Economics from Northwestern University before working with Phillips, de Pury & Luxembourg and Mitchell-Innes & Nash, Gelfand-Magalhaes approaches the art world with a combination of rigorous business acumen and a deep passion for the arts.

“In Victoria, we’ve found a partner with a common sensibility and vision,” says Dominique Lévy. “Brett and I share a passion for the arts, a commitment to fostering meaningful, long-term relationships with artists, institutions, and collectors, and a creative and specialized approach to art advisory. Her distinctive vision, complemented by her formidable business skills, make her well prepared to continue the gallery’s longstanding mission of providing dedicated services to artists, institutions, and collectors alike. Together with Emilio Steinberger, Senior Partner in New York, and Lock Kresler, Senior Director in London, we are delighted to welcome her to the team.”
