This series of drawings constitutes an expression of time and manual labor. The forms resulting from this process embody the relationship between effort and limitation: the attempt at precision and the ultimate frailty contained therein. The ultimate articulation of these themes is manifested through the fading process that occurs as a result of the drawings’ prolonged exposure to natural light. The sunlight erodes the drawings nearly to the point of erasure, revealing that even in almost total extirpation, beauty remains in endeavor. – Tilton Widro
