FIAC
For its inaugural presentation at FIAC, Lévy Gorvy will celebrate the emergence of Pop art, focusing on the seminal contributions of European artists in defining its aesthetic. From Pop’s origins in 1950s London to its spread worldwide through the 1960s, artists in Europe offered revolutionary redefinitions of the subjects of art and the tenets of beauty within an intensely consumerist society. The gallery will present a curated ensemble of European Pop art by Martial Raysse, Gerald Laing, and Mario Schifano, alongside paintings and sculptures from the ‘60s that share the radical spirit of the movement.
