'In House' – Artists Who Work At Lévy Gorvy
July 22 – August 9, 2019
909 Madison Avenue
Lévy Gorvy is pleased to present In House, an exhibition featuring artists who are on the gallery’s staff. Encompassing a wide range of media, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, and sound, the works exhibited here testify to the manifold talents of our team. Many of the artists in Lévy Gorvy’s program supported themselves by working for arts venues while they developed their own practices; recognizing this rich history, we are proud to offer a platform to the dedicated artists we employ. Aiming to narrow the often arbitrary divide that separates established commercial scenes from those that support emerging and unrepresented artists, In House cultivates unexpected dialogues and resonant exchanges among artists whose work—both artistic and vocational—embodies the spirit of Lévy Gorvy’s mission.
In House is organized by Tilton Widro, the gallery’s Head Preparator.
